Pennyo.com Penny Auction Site Donates Time, Money

Giving back is extremely important to the Pennyo.com team and is a vital part of the company's vision and identity. Pennyo staff will participate in helping communities all around the world. Starting locally, in Minnesota's Twin Cities, Pennyo's outreach is set to grow as they contribute to national and global communities in need.

Beginning in January, 2012, Pennyo will feature one organization to which auction proceeds will be given; ten cents of each Bid purchased and placed in an auction will be donated or placed in a reserve fund for future donations. Pennyo's ultimate goal is to help drive change and progress by contributing both time and resources to improve things such as health, education and safe permanent housing and decreasing things like poverty, human trafficking and physical and psychological violence.

Pennyo.com works to drive change and facilitate new beginnings; this is the reason the stie was started. "Both the site's owners have been personally impacted by these issues, and we want to help," says Bistram. "We care. Together, we can make a difference. By purchasing bids at Pennyo.com, you have the opportunity to buy awesome stuff that you want, but also to put your money to work by improving people's lives."

An official receipt for each donation will be made available on Pennyo.com for review. When possible, the site will share stories and photos so members can learn about the people they are helping.

Pennyo.com posts auctions in which 100% of the value of bids placed are donated. By the end of 2012, Pennyo.com plants to be able to match bids and auction prices, penny for penny, dollar for dollar, doubling donation amounts.
