What do a rubber band, a loud mouth mother-in-law, roses, a car marathon and practicing your smile have in common have in common with your power to change and trying new experiences? Writer Diane Neill Jensen’s takes on the advice given in the first book written as a “practical working handbook on human relations”. The multi-talented former newspaper editor/publisher and photographer has read Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People” and has put her twist on his advice, which Carnegie puts out as advice in part, for you who are thinking of starting your own business, and for those working for an employer, especially those in sales.
“I’ve had a lot of fun with these first five chapters relating my life events to Carnegie’s suggestions on how our behavior effects other people,” she says. “I can’t wait to relate his advice to how, in my life, I have either used the rules… or not, and the consequences,” she says.
She has used some fictional names to protect “the innocent”, but each incident she relates is real life and the stories run from sad to hilarious, each story unique in it’s own way. One of the most real videos is when she just gets in front of the camera and adlibs with no script.
She still has 25 chapters to relate to you on, and promises to publish them as quickly as she can. You can find the articles and videos of the first five chapters already published on her blog at http://dianeneilljensen.com
