Perk Du Jour Launches in Cincinnati - New Site Changes the Game on Coupons

Born out of the belief that Cincinnati has so much more to offer than many Cincinnatians are aware, Perk Du Jour will ignite discovery by finding some of the best experiences around town and then bring them to their subscribers at prices that are simply hard to ignore. Perk Du Jour features deals on restaurants, spas, events, wine and cooking classes, tours, personal enrichment and much more.

Unlike other types of coupons (print, direct mail, e-coupon), Perk Du Jour is subscriber-based only and thus has a direct connection with its community. “This means that only subscribers can get in on the deal,” said Schneider. “But for the merchants, it means that they can speak directly to our audience without competition from other advertisers. It’s like a one-on-one conversation.” Every morning, subscribers will receive an email called a Perk Alert, informing them of that day’s deal. There is only one deal per day, but with the discounts so large, the decision to “buy in” should be easy.

Merchants, called Perk Partners, who are part of the launch, include The Woodhouse Day Spa, voted Best of the City by Cincinnati Magazine; Essencha Tea House, the top spot in town for true tea lovers; and Cincinnati Ballroom Company, Cincinnati’s premier ballroom dance studio.
