Lauderdale, Fla. – February 01, 2011 – Perla Group International Inc., (PERL:PK) a leader in international military, police and security solutions sectors, today announced it has hired three new senior managers. Alfred L. Smith has been named Operations Manager, Brian Ulrik Adolfsen was named Sales Manager, Perla Telecoms and Mike Calton will head up sales for Perla Armored Cars. The Company also announced it has expanded its reach with the recent opening of offices in Sao Paulo Brazil, Lagos Nigeria and Melbourne Australia with an Iraq and Afghanistan offices to open soon.

Of course, we need to make sure everything is running smoothly and Alfred brings a wealth of experience in all facets of our company.”

Alfred Smith rejoins Perla Group International having served as vice president of operations in Dubai, UAE. While in Dubai, he directed the operations and maintenance of business-critical VSAT-VoIP networks and managed the delivery of network communications support for DynCorp and Department of State (INL) objectives in Afghanistan.

Alfred has been a senior-level manager for more than 15 years. His background includes leading the development and execution of high-priority technical programs and operations. His expertise includes microwave, broadband, satellite communications platform development, system security and operational oversight for major law enforcement and intelligence industry organizations.

Alfred, a former U.S. Marine, had a distinguished career in law enforcement having served as a New York City Narcotics Detective. He studied Criminal Justice at John Jay College, City University, New York.

Brian comes to Perla Group International from Sirius Telecom Ltd, Denmark where he headed up International Sales & Business Development. He has extensive international sales, business and channel development experience. He is an experienced operations, projects, staff and employee manager and has extensive experience in general operations.

Brian’s professional qualities and skills cover channel management with focus on, but not limited to Europe, Africa and Middle East strategy development and implementing, as well, as strategic sales. Additionally, Brian has extensive experience and insight in the telecom, aerospace, and defense markets. His track record for meeting or exceeding sales expectations is without peer.

Prior to joining Perla Brian was a former member of the Danish Army where he held the rank of 1st Lieutenant
Mike Calton brings to Perla International sales experience from three continents, Europe, Asia and Australia. With a decade of success delivering quality customer service and award-winning sales volume in the competitive automotive industry, Mike also brings to Perla his analytical and financial expertise. This talent for developing a top-performing sales staff ensures continued success for the Perla Armored Car division. .

Before joining Perla, Mike served with Exchange New Car Sales in Iraq and Ramstein, Bavarian Motors Cars in Bavaria and AutoExchange in Baden-Wurttemberg.

He attended Belfast Royal Academy and served seven years in the Royal Marine Commando/Elite Forces for United Kingdom’s Royal Marines. This unique blend of military experience and extensive knowledge of the auto industry will be invaluable to Perla.
