• Keep up to date with any proposed or adopted new zonings.
• Be creative and look outside the box.
• When presented with a problem, understand the bigger the problem if solved the bigger the profit.
• Don’t be emotional on your buying. It’s a numbers game and with so many properties presently on the market it is a buyers market.
• Negotiate well- It’s not all about the price, you can negotiate on the terms to minimise your risk and holding costs.
• Look at your current portfolio and see if you have used the property to it’s maximum potential.
Mrs Jardim said people can make huge profits in 2012 if they are willing to do research, educate themselves so they are informed. Having a flat market shouldn’t deter people instead see it as an opportunity.
