http://www.wolfentertainment.com.au "It is a great pleasure to be able to work with Peter Moore and to be distributing his wonderful music", says Hellmut Wolf, director of Wolf Entertainment. "What is also really exciting for me as a musician, is the possibility to be able to record with a monster producer and player like Peter. When I asked him if he was into that, he wrote back", "We absolutely will. We are in this together, and we will push each other to be the best we can be. Let's do it." "How cool is that? So I am looking forward not only to get Peter's album "Attitude Positive" into the smooth Jazz market, but also to record some tracks with him very soon."
Peter Moore began passionately pursuing music when he heard smooth jazz being played in a record store, and he quickly made his first purchase. For Peter, it’s been that simple ever since.
Peter Moore is a music producer, songwriter, composer, recording engineer, and an amazing guitarist who focuses on acoustic guitar based material that is smooth, positive and beautiful. This Boston born producer began studying electric guitar in Flint, MI at Universal Music Studio at age nine. He decided to pursue music as a career while playing in the jazz band at Livingstone College, in Salisbury, NC and later at the University of Michigan-Flint where he switched to classical guitar.
After getting a music degree, Peter attended the Recording Institute of Detroit, graduating as a recording engineer, and began working with producer, Bernard Terry at SilverSun Recording where he learned the art of producing. While working in Flint, Peter met Wendell B. Harris Jr., a local director who was filming his first production in Flint. Moore was hired to compose the score of that film, "Chameleon Street" which garnered the Grand Jury Prize as the best independent film at Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival. This amazing opportunity further fueled Peter's passion to produce music, so he moved to Atlanta, GA and began working as a studio musician at Laface Records.
At Laface Peter was given an opportunity to learn from some of the most talented producers in the industry including, L. A. Reid, Tony Rich, Jermaine Dupree, and Organized Noize. It also afforded him a chance to record on projects with The Tony Rich Project, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Aaron Neville, Michael Bolton, Roberta Flack, Boyz II Men, CeCe Winans, and Pebbles to name a few. Peter also co-wrote several of Tony Rich's productions including songs for recording artists, Anointed, The Wordd, and for Rich himself: a song for the Emmy Award winning TV show "Mad About You" called “Baby Girl”. He also toured with Rich in Europe, and the U. S., played at the 1996 Olympics, the Superbowl, and appeared on 10 television shows with the band including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’Eve.
After the Laface experience, Peter began producing his own projects starting with Singer, RoseBenjamin's r and b classic, "Blue Rose". He was then given an opportunity to produce a country project for former River North Recording Artist, Steve Kolander. Moore put his own twist on country, calling it "cowboy soul" which blended r and b elements with country's story telling format. The album was entitled "Light to Dark". This experience afforded Moore an opportunity to work with NASCAR and Evander Holyfield’s recording project producing country singer Eric Ryan on a song called NASCAR Country. He also joined forces with writing and singing phenomenon, Carmichael to produce songs on three amazing albums for the artist, including his latest, “Fantasy Rain”.
Moore also expanded his realm of experience into the field of advertising, composing music for four television commercials for advertising giant, J. Walter Thompson. He also composed the score for his first documentary film, and two other film shorts.
Other artists currently showcasing Peter Moore's production talents are trumpeter, Charles Nix, and British singing sensation, Bashiyra The Voice. He is now releasing his long awaited solo project, "Attitude Positive" through Wolf Entertainment, who discovered Moore through their Las Vegas based A and R representative, Larry O. “L. J.” Johnson. Moore is an ever growing force in music circles around the industry. Look to hear a great deal more from him in the near future.
