Phoenix Based Artificial Grass Company Set to Expand and Open New Location

The principles of the company have signed a lease on a facility that is twice the size of the currently warehouse in Gilbert. The new location is set to open January 1st, 2012 in Chandler, with close proximity to the I-10, Price 101, and San Tan 202 freeways.

Arizona Turf Solutions & Greens for the last 3 years has been located in Gilbert on McQueen Rd, just south of baseline in a 2,500 square foot space with frontage in McQueen. They outgrew the space almost instantly, within the first year they developed new product and started moving serious volumes of it to homeowners, contractors, and landscapers. "After the first year we were trying to figure out how to fit more product into the space, we had product stacked to the ceilings and from wall-to-wall", said a member of upper management.

In an industry where most of the market is drop shipping product direct from manufacturers, Arizona Turf Solutions & Greens has focused on putting their capital up to stock their own products on the shelves in their warehouse. This allows them to fulfill orders on the spot, which keeps the customers from waiting the 2-3 days lead time for products to be drop-shipped from across the country. They've invested time and money into delivery solutions for their regional business, including dedicated delivery truck where they take the product directly to job-sites for their customers. The product is stocked in large rolls which the Arizona Turf Solutions team claim "are rather cumbersome and much bigger than most customer's pickup trucks are designed to handle".

The new facility is nearly 5,000 square feet and is located in Chandler near the cross streets of Kyrene and Chandler Boulevard. "The building is perfect for our next three years growth, it has tall ceilings and plenty of space for outdoor displays" says management. The building has a large yard space, which will allow the company to keep their trucks and equipment securely on site. Previously their fleet was kept in a satellite space in Gilbert that was off-site from the warehouse. Logistically, this will improve operations and speed up response from their installation and dispatch teams to projects across the greater Phoenix area.
