Phone to look out for in 2010
With new phones coming out every week these days, it can be hard to decide which one to go for, so let’s have a look at what the next 9 months of 2010 has in store for you gadget lovers. Remember most of us will pick a phone and be stuck with the phone for 12, 18 or 24 months on contracts, so choose wisely.
HTC Legend & HTC Desire
HTC has a awesome 2009 and actually won T3’s Gadget of the year with the HTC Hero, so they are taking 2010 very serious and want to stay on the top. HTC legend is said to have a sleek metallic finish and a brilliant display. The legend is definitely dressing to impress the consumers, but the internal memory is only 524 MB so that is a huge disappointment for the phone. All the other features are up there with the best. The HTC Desire is being called the super phone, and having watched the video on Youtube.com, you will notice straight away is the quick flicking between screens, web browsing and good media features. What gives the phone this power is the 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but again for me power is wasted by poor storage on the phone, but you can expand with a micro SD card, but it is extra cost.

Samsung Wave
Samsung have gambled enormously with the Wave by introducing their own mobile OS to compete with the Android system. Bada open source platform is going to greatly scrutinized by all but Samsung have been doing successfully for a while and people who like their phone range are going to stick by it. Again they do not have huge internal storage but micro SD compatible, It does seem to be a recurring theme. Excellent display along with good features should keep Samsung at the high end of the mobile phone market.

Sony Ericson Xperia X10
Sony Ericson has finally decided to go with Android and finally get in the Smartphone business. First impression of the phone is WOW, Sleek white casing and epic 4.0 inches touch screen, 8 megapixel camera and social networking ready. I can see that this could become very popular with the public if it was down to looks. The huge screen does not have multi touch screen like the iPhone and Google Nexus one. If they do want to be taken seriously with a Smartphone they have to have the features to compete. Sony Ericsson is also releasing two pocket versions of the device, the X10 Mini, and the QWERTY-rocking X10 Mini Pro.
