Piedmont Holdings, Community Bank of Rowan Announces Leadership Change

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 10, 2012 -- ROWAN COUNTY, NC – January 10, 2012 – Piedmont Community Bank Holdings, Inc. (“Piedmont”) and Community Bank of Rowan (“Rowan”) announced today the appointment of Seamus Donaldson as Market President for Rowan.

Donaldson, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at the bank, replaces former President and CEO Bruce Jones who is leaving the bank to join his wife's property management and realty company, Rebecca Jones Realty, Inc.

Because he is a Salisbury native himself, Donaldson is dedicated to keeping Rowan’s focus on the immediate Salisbury/Rowan area. As a Salisbury fixture, he also sees the importance of continuing the bank’s efforts to support and cater to the needs of the community.

Donaldson has more than 12 years of experience in banking, all serving the Rowan market, first starting his career at Citizens Bank. During his six years with Rowan, he worked closely with his predecessor, Jones, who provided Donaldson with the knowledge he needed to become Market President. Jones started in the banking business in 1978 and later went on to open Rowan, which grew to $140 million in assets and became profitable in just two years.

Community Bank of Rowan was established in 2006 and as of September of 2011, it had grown to 23 employees at two locations. Community Bank of Rowan offers services in personal banking, business banking, mortgages, refinancing, construction lending, online banking and many more. Piedmont Community Bank Holdings acquired 100 percent of Community Bank of Rowan in April of 2011.
