PigSpigot Greeting Cards Introduces New Private Cards Feature

November 30, 2009

PigSpigot announces the release of its private card feature, a new way for people to create and share personal greeting card designs.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 30, 2009 -- New York — November 30, 2009 — PigSpigot.com (www.PigSpigot.com) today announces the release of its private card feature, a new way for people to create and share personal greeting card designs. Just in time for the holiday season, PigSpigot users can now create personalized cards of the family and distribute them by mail without ever having to go offline.

Prior to today’s announcement, whenever a new card was uploaded to PigSpigot, it was immediately added to the site's gigantic card library so that other users could comment on it, rate it, and send it. But members of the PigSpigot community asked to be able to keep some of their creations private.

“We listen to our customers,” says CEO Josh Stein. “While we’re committed to creating the world’s largest open library of user-generated greeting cards, we recognize that there are times when people want to be able to make and send cards privately.”

Indeed, some cards are best kept private. Whether it’s a holiday card featuring pictures of the kids or a racy snapshot from a boudoir session, you can now send PigSpigot ecards and printed cards to select family and friends without letting the entire community share in your experience.

To upload a private card, you simply have to check a privacy box to send your design directly to the new “private cards” section of your profile page. From there, you can send your card out by mail or email just as you would any other card on the site.

About PigSpigot

PigSpigot is an online, user-generated greeting card company that is geared towards the 18-34 demographic that has been neglected for far too long by the major greeting card companies. With an ever-expanding inventory of edgy cards, the site caters to all niches and senses of humor. PigSpigot customers can discover, rate and share greeting cards they like and participate in the creative process by submitting their own designs; sophisticated rating technology ensures that the best content is displayed more prominently. PigSpigot also breaks down the wall between technology and tradition by allowing users to send not only online versions of cards but also affordable printed versions too. http://pigspigot.com
