Pilani Rajasthan Way ToTransform Shridhar University Intramural Sports Meet Inauguration

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 26, 2011 -- The main objective is to create an atmosphere that encourages individuals to develop life-long involvement in recreational activities in order to enhance the quality of life for the university community by educating and encouraging participation in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, social interactions, and leadership skills.

The sports meet aims at developing friendships between fellow students within their own department as well as other departments and throws open quality opportunities to foster personal, educational, ethical and physical development.

Intramural Sports offers the students an opportunity to participate in their favorite sport on a competitive or recreational level. Leagues are available in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports year-round; including cricket, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess etc.

For the year 2010 -2011, the Shridhar University Sports Meet is scheduled from 25 March to 28 March 2011. On 25 March 2011 in a colourful function, Prof BR Natarajan Pro Vice Chancellor inaugurated the Sports Meet and urged the students to take inspiration from the well known quote of all time great boxer Muhammad Ali “Champions are not made in Gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.” Registrar Prof Nesamoorthy and other faculty members also were present for the inaugural function.
