Robert Artigo, President and Founder of Pineapple Technology said, “The AMX5000 will give customers the ability to easily bundle up to 5 off-the-air TV channels into a single digital stream for re-transmission”. TV translator providers will also be able to add their own PSIP rebranding for broadcast identification of all virtual channels. Input signals, when connected, will be automatically identified and stream information will be available to the user via Ethernet or UART connection. If one of the incoming ASI streams is lost an ALARM status indicator is provided.
The AMX5000 when used in conjunction with PTI’s new adaptive digital modulators and full line of low power digital transmitters, offer an excellent choice of one-stop shopping for broadcasters.
