Pirelli Tyres Win their First “Formula One Championship” Win

Pirelli tyres spent 30 odd days of testing their P-Zero racing tyres and were looking forward to their first real test in the World of F1 racing.
It was to be nearly 20 years ago that Pirilli tyres were to finish their final F1 turnout also in Australia, in fact to be precise the last time was in Adelaide, however the race did not go the full stretch because of monsoon conditions ending the race prematurely.

Pirelli tyres have produced the latest tyre to give greater grip on the track to help drivers in overtaking, but more grip usually means more tyre wear, drivers had to change their tyres more often, the compound for this tyre was a soft compound to give more grip and a harder compound for longer wear, this is the standard critirea for standard types of tyre. It is difficult to give good grip and long mileage due to the nature of rubber compounds and tread design.
Eric Roberts of Pellon tyres in the UK noted that Pirelli tyres were pleased with the results the overall race finished three minutes faster than the coresponding race last year, with Sebastian Vettel only stopping twice. All in all Pirelli tyres think they have a winner with the performance of the P_Zero tyre. All the effort and technology that has go into the making of this racing tyre, will be used for the production of normal road car tyres.
