Monterey Bay Aquarium
Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of well known aquarium and this was started in the year 1984 by a group marine biologist as an initiative to protect sea life but this aquarium was expanded to display more sea life in the year 1996. The attractions in this aquarium are the Splash Zone, Sea Otters, Jellies and Kelp Forest. Monterey Bay Aquarium as huge skeletal form of whale and much more educational information about the marine life for both adults and children.
Canary row
Canary row become famous due to John Steinbeck's 1945 fictional bestseller but initially, canary row was a dirt road leading to the Chinese settlement close by Pacific Grove who assisted in constructing the famous fishing industry in Monterey. In the mid 1800’s, F.E. Booth's development of sardine packing technology came into picture and following that they were many competing for sardines factories and this dominated coastal road between Monterey and Pacific Grove as there was huge supply of sardines. But in the mind 1940’s sardines mysteriously vanished and that was the end of Cannery Row's industrial days. The old building which once was industrial area is present till now and this tells stories about the past Cannery Row's industrial history.
17-Mile Drive
17-Mile Drive is popularly known as one of the most picturesque drives in the world. The prominent coastal landmark runs through Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach, from the spectacular Pacific coastline to the magnificent Del Monte Forest. The Lone Cypress has one of California’s well-known landmarks such as Cypress Point Lookout, Carmel Bay and Spanish Bay.
