Each year Planet Athlete strives to present and host the best National Level Showcases in the USA, and the North South Classic is one of the best, and will feature some of the best high school and prep school teams in the USA and Canada.

The Planet Athlete North South Classic Showcase will feature some of the best teams in the United States and Canada. The top matchup of the Showcase feature Nationally Ranked, and #18 in USA Super 25, # 10# in Hoopniks, #12 In ESPN Fab 50, against ESPN Fab 50 #39 Arlington Country Day of Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Montrose leads the way with Virginia Commit, 6’6 Justin Anderson, and Class of 2013, Ishmail Wainright who has offers from almost every Division 1 Team in the USA. Arlington Country Day, with a long history as the Number One Team in Florida, with six back to back State Championships has an outstanding cast of players including 2013 Class 6’8 Power Forward Junior Etou, 6’8 Jordan Goodman who is committed to Texas Tech,, 6’5 Carlos Morris, along with floor general 6’7 Ian Baker who are both considering offers from South Carolina, but who also have offers from Boston College, Providence, and Seton Hall.

USA Today Powerade Fab #50 West Oaks, of Orlando, Florida faces a tough Princeton Day, of Laurel, Maryland. West Oaks led by 6’5 Kedar Edwards with offers from Temple, Massachusetts, Georgia, and Alabama, and Sheldon Hagigal, Dontavius Ward, and Devaughn Purcell, who all have offers from every mid major in the USA. Princeton Day, a nationally recognized program features the best freshman big man combo’s in the USA with 7’ foot Malik Kuwornu, and 6’8 William Tcheineng, and have a great 3 guard lineup of Jamaal Williams, Jarrod Lemon, and Michael Scott.

Other top matchups feature Nationally Ranked # 5 in USA Today Super 25, and #5 in Hoopniks, Huntington Prep, with an 18-1 Record against Nationally Recognized, and Max Preps Academy Top 10, #10 Our Savior New American of Long Island, New York. Huntington led by Elijah Macon, a 6’8, West Virginia Commit, and Andrew Wiggins, 6’7 Swingman, and #1 in Class of 2014. Our Savior with Chris Obekpa, who is considered one of the best big men still unsigned has offers from Cincinnati, UCONN, Florida, Georgia Tech, Texas, PITT, and West Virginia;

Huntington Prep will also have to handle the REDA National Team of Toronto, Ontario with 15 of the Top 100 Canadian players. REDA features super guard, and Iowa State Commit Naz Long, along with big men Shaq Keith and Chidi Majack who both deliver game after game for REDA.
