http://www.CharlotteNCFashionWeek.com Charlotte Fashion Week 2011 will showcase the latest trends featuring everything from urban inspired designs, men’s custom tailored suits and dinner jackets, to exquisite cocktail dresses and couture gowns, and designs made of all natural and sustainable “green” fabrics. New to this year’s program is a children’s show scheduled on Thursday, September 22. The retailer, Gap Kids, will style the selected children ranging between the ages of 3-12. In, Charlotte Fashion Week has partnered with parties and play venue, Monkey Joe’s, to host a meet and greet that will give the young runway models and their parents an opportunity to interact and meet the production team.
In addition to being back in the heart of Uptown Charlotte for a second year, the Pavilion at the Epicentre known for being the nightlife and dining hub of the city, will host this year’s show. During the four-day event, the Epicentre will become Fashion Week central, catering to stylish guests from around the region and providing a nightlife experience synonymous with fashion weeks around the country.
This year, audiences can expect to see an eclectic group of more than 20 emerging designers, local boutiques, special guest hosts, celebrity appearances and live commentary from the red carpet. Each show will be artistically produced and orchestrated to custom music and images, creating a visualy exciting and high-energy atmosphere. Following the shows, guests need only walk a few steps where they can enjoy live entertainment and after parties, and rub elbows with some of the industries top professionals. During the day guest and visitors can enjoy lunch and dinner specials as well as an afternoon wine and champange shopping experience at several of the local boutiques in the Epicentre

The Art Institute has taken on a significant role this year by including many of its’ interactive media, graphic arts, and photography students in the production of the visuals included in the show.
