Plumbworld Comes to Facebook

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 17, 2012 -- Continuing this pioneering tradition, Plumbworld has extended its online presence by recently launching its own Facebook page.

The page offers customers the chance to engage with Plumbworld via the social networking site. Facebook users can ‘like’ the Plumbworld page and keep up to date with the latest news and developments, including great deals and savings, and even weigh in with their own comments. Already the page is proving popular with well over 6000 likes.

Facebook famously has over 600 million users and Marketing Manager, Scott Morris, was very positive about the potential of Plumbworld having its own page when he said: “Everyone knows how huge Facebook is, they even made a movie about it, so that doesn’t need repeating. With so many users it’s an opportunity that can’t be missed. To engage with a vast potential audience is something we’re really looking forward to. We already have a fantastic web presence but it wouldn’t be complete without being on Facebook. We’re always looking to open up new avenues online.”

The page furthers Plumbworld’s web presence and provides an easily accessible page of information on the company and the products it supplies.

The page also displays links to Plumbworld’s retail site and contact information. It presents a fresh way for engagement between the company and its customers as well as allowing the company to continue its tradition of excellent customer service.

Scott Morris continued: “It’s no secret that a company’s web presence is of massive importance these days and we’re hoping that not only will it help us grown and develop as a company but also help us to provide an excellent service to our customers.”

As well as the usual Facebook features such as its Wall, Info, Photos and Links, the Plumbworld page offers users the opportunity to sign up to emails and read reviews from other shoppers via consumer review site Trustpilot.

Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading. It was started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and was sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006. Plumbworld now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and boasts an astonishing 50 websites selling everything from bathroom vanity units and draper tools to barbecues and electric showers. The business has a turnover in excess of £18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
