Plumbworld have an Office Move-Around and Continue Their Ongoing Expansion

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 17, 2012 -- This is just a small phase of what’s to happen in the future, as the number 1 online retailer for bathroom and plumbing continues to grow and expand their staff, premises and business.

Originally all of the Plumbworld staff were housed under one main roof, located in the Vale Business Park in Evesham, Worcestershire. However, the ever-growing organisation was beginning to burst at the seams, already having an extra warehouse located on the Business Park, it was decided they would remain in the same area and expand into a new office. The new office located just over the road from the original ‘Plumbworld Headquarters’ is named Millenium House; it’s shared with a small business operating downstairs, whilst the Plumbworld team has taken over the top floors.

The move isn’t huge as only the Commercial team, comprising of 7-8 members have transferred to the new building, however, this has created much needed room in the main premise for various other departments; most notably for customer support and marketing.

James Pickering, Product Manager at Plumbworld described the move as; “Much needed, beneficial and space saving”. He went on to say; “The move is extremely crucial to us as two new members of staff have recently been appointed within the commercial department; in our previous space it would have been near impossible to accommodate them both without compromising space for others. Overall, the move will hopefully benefit the organisation greatly and lead to an improved work-rate and efficiency throughout departments”.

The move had allegedly been planned for quite some months, however, planning and designing the new office had to be taken into account before the move could take place. There are also rumours of a larger-scale move happening within the next 2 years as the organisation continues to develop and assert further online dominance in a variety of trades and tools.

Anthony Langston, Website Administrator also commented on the move: “I believe this expansion is for the best and will create much tighter relationships between departments, despite the distance; as it will be clear how every department is reliant upon another to get the job done, provide our customers with excellent products and drive the business forward”.

He commented further, saying; “The motivation and drive of individuals within departments should also increase as they’re awarded new offices, better facilities and a larger working area; the only downside of this move is - I’ll miss some of the Commercial team, especially Gary!”

Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman and was later sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, they now employ over 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and turnover close to £20 million a year. The Plumbworld empire expands month by month with new additions to staff and websites; the current website count sits at 44 with more in the pipeline. The websites vary hugely and specialise in anything from wood burning stoves and barbecues to bathrooms and garden tools.
