Plumbworld Recruit More Staff Within Commercial
As Christmas approaches, Plumbworld are set to start the New Year a fresh with all the staffing they require; new additions are therefore being made prior to Christmas.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 17, 2012 --
The newest addition to the Plumbworld team comes in the form of a new commercial position that has been filled by Steve Broadbent. He was a keen candidate who seemed ideal for the role and it appears he has already settled in within his first week at Plumbworld. The online bathroom supernova Plumbworld attempt to keep staffing at a minimum where possible as this helps to keep the costs to the customer down; however, as more orders come in and more products are sold, these needs change and expansion is inevitable.
Steve will be expected to help police price changes and keep in regular touch between a variety of departments, including marketing; whilst also conversing with suppliers about certain needs and requirements. Ensuring things such as the prices of showers and washbasins are kept competitive leads to more sales and happier customers as they reap the reward of a low price, with quality goods and service.
Steve Broadbent was eager to comment on his first week at Plumbworld and said the following: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first few days, at first I was nervous as most people are when starting a new job, but I’ve quickly grown confidence in my role here and everyone has been extremely welcoming and friendly which has helped a great deal. I think this position is ideal for me as it will allow me to demonstrate my enthusiasm to go far in the industry and hopefully make a positive difference to the company the longer I work here.”
Plumbworld continuing to recruit for new positions shows that a business can be capable of anything despite the economic conditions. If anything, Plumbworld is demonstrating that even if the outlook is bleak in times of recession, hard work and effort can go a long way to making or breaking a company.
Mark Canfield, Commercial Manager said: “We’re glad to be taking on more staff and it’s most certainly required as over the next year or 2 we have some rather ambitious targets which we are going to try our hardest to meet. To meet these targets, expansion is certainly going to happen and Steve will be at the heart of it all over here in Commercial.”
Plumbworld was established in 1999 by James and Anita Hickman and was later sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006, they now employ over 50 people in their purpose built warehouse and offices and turnover close to £20 million a year. The Plumbworld Empire expands month by month with new additions to staff and websites; the current website count sits at 50+ with more in the pipeline. The websites vary hugely and specialise in anything from Franke sinks and bathroom suites to heated towel rails and Mira showers.
