Donna Solitario is the author of "Embrace the Light: A Woman's Story Through Poetry to Touch Your Heart" which includes a myriad of inspirational poems. Her new book " Coming Home to My Heart For Inner Peace" which includes an autobiography of her life on topics such as child and domestic abuse, forgiveness, recovery, friendships, family, spirituality, motivation and empowerment all written in verse and prose. She is also featured in "Dream Reachers" with icons such as Clint Eastwood, Tanya Tucker, Jane Russell and Jane Russell.

Ms. Solitario has won six Editor's Choice Awards for the six anthology books she is published in. She is currently an instructor in Massachusetts and has a B.A. in Human Services and a certificate in Special Education. Previously, she was a substance abuse counselor. A devout Christian, Ms. Solitario enjoys ministering and inspiring adults with her poetry. A mother of two grown children and grandmother to four young grandchildren, she enjoys teaching and inspiring her students, family, friends and readers.
