The competition will be scorching as players vie for a chance to compete at the National Championships in Indianapolis next month. Like all Regional events, the Southwest Regional event is open to members of the public, both as competitors and spectators.

What to Bring:

* A North American copy of Pokémon HeartGold Version or Pokémon SoulSilver Version for the Nintendo DS™ system
* A team of legal Pokémon as per the Tournament Regulations
* A completed Team Information Sheet
* Proof of age

* A special character distribution will be available to all attendees who have a copy of Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver Versions. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi™ system. Only one Pokémon will be available per person.

Pokemon video game championships prizes

1st Place:

* A Regional Championships 1st Place Trophy
* A Nintendo DSi system
* Airfare and 4 day/3 night hotel accommodations for the winner (including parent or legal guardian for players under 18) to attend the Pokémon Video Game National Championships in Indianapolis, IN on June 25th-27th
* An invite to participate in the Pokémon Video Game National Championships

2nd through 4th Place:

* A Nintendo DSi system

* A $300 travel allowance (including an additional $300 travel allowance for players under 18) to participate in the Pokémon Video Game National Championships.
* An invite to participate in the Pokémon Video Game National Championships

5th through 16th Place:

* An invite to participate in the Pokémon Video Game National Championships
