Political Leaders, Journalists, and Survivors Confirmed for Conference!

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 30, 2009 -- Portland, Oregon – On Saturday, January 9, 2010 U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) has been invited to open the annual Northwest Conference Against Trafficking at the Red Lion Hotel on the River, Jantzen Beach-Portland, OR. In addition, City of Vancouver, Washington Mayor Timothy Leavitt, Multnomah County Commissioner Diane McKeel, City of Portland Commissioners Dan Saltzman and Commissioner Amanda Fritz, and a Portland, Oregon Human Trafficking Survivor have all confirmed to present during the luncheon from 12-4p.m.

Soroptimist International Northwestern Region along with many non-profit organizations, law enforcement agencies, media, businesses, and individuals will host the annual Human Trafficking Conference on January 9th. Other Keynote speakers include: Jane Velez-Mitchell, host of “Issues” on HLN, Dallas Jessup founder of “Just Yell Fire”, Colonel William Hillar (whose story was seen in the movie “Taken”), and Cathy Standiford, president of Soroptimist International of the America’s.

Breakout session presenters include: Keith Bickford, Oregon State Human Trafficking Task force Director, District Attorney Greg Moawad, and Sergeant Doug Justus who will be heading a breakout session titled “The Pimp & His Game.”
