Portland Advertising Federation Honors SportsOne with a Rosey Award

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 4, 2012 -- BEAVERTON, Ore. – National sports and entertainment marketing agency SportsOne was honored with an award of excellence by the Portland Advertising Federation at organization’s annual Rosey Awards. Hosted December 1, 2011 at the Refuge in Portland, the Rosey Awards recognize creative and innovative advertising campaigns.

SportsOne took home the consumer environment and exhibit award for the Safeway Smoothie Revolution at the 2011 Nike Women’s Marathon Expotique. Set in San Francisco's Union Square, the three-day Safeway Smoothie Revolution gave core Safeway consumers an opportunity to interact with Safeway products in a powerful and entertaining manner.

Aboard six custom-built spin bikes with blenders attached to the front wheels and three trainers coaching consumers blended smoothies made with Safeway ingredients. Additionally, each visitor to the 2011 Safeway Smoothie Revolution received a sample of the Cranbanana Craze Smoothie, a recipe card and a Safeway coupon for smoothie ingredients.

Founded in 1906, the Portland Advertising Federation continues to set the standard for the creative, design and media community. The Rosey Awards began in 1957; 2011 recipients also include Wieden + Kennedy, Grady Britton and Henry V.
