Possible Solution to Automated Phone Broadcasting Under The New 09-01-09 FTC Rules
The FTC has made some changes in the laws for automated voice broadcasting. Announcing the Phone Broadcast Club's "Agent Permission Check" in Phone Prospector!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 6, 2009 --
As of September 1, 2009, the FTC has new rules pertaining to the automated contact of consumers.
To view this FTC Rule, go to
http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/08/robocalls.shtm
The Phone Broadcast Club can help keep you compliant with these new guidelines.
One has the choice of two different systems:
Phone Prospector
An "Industrial Strength" automated broadcaster that uses a live "Agent Permission Check" system. This is a function that will have all outbound broadcasts go through a call center agent who will then ask the person being called if they would like to accept or decline the call.
Hyperdialer
This is a Predictive Dialer, where one actually speaks with a consumer. Its purpose is not to be used as an automated voice broadcaster. However, all Do Not Call rules still apply.
Notes:
All charitable organizations, non profits, and politicians are exempt from these rules.
Business to Business is not affected by the ruling.
The Phone Broadcast Club's standard automated voice broadcasting can be used under these circumstances, without fear of breaking the new FTC rules.
