FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 3, 2012 -- The year 2011 was a very busy year for Power Mac Center, the country’s largest reseller of Apple products with 12 branches in major malls in Metro Manila and selected provincial locations.

It was the year when the store chain opened two more provincial branches – one in Pampanga, which is its first branch outside Metro Manila, and another in Davao, its second outside Metro Manila and first outside Luzon. Power Mac Center also moved its SM Mall of Asia (MOA) branch to a bigger and better location within the mall.

It was also in 2011 when Power Mac Center officially launched its Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC), making it the first local Apple partner to receive the internationally recognized certification to offer IT Track courses in the country. The AATC offers hands-on Apple certification programs and exams for professionals looking to establish their expertise and better market their skills in the field of digital technology, particularly in Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.6.

PMC’s number of Apple Authorized Service Providers (ASP) also increased from three to four with the addition of the new Davao branch in Abreeza Mall to PMC’s list of ASPs located in San Juan, Greenhills, Greenbelt 3 and TriNoma. Furthermore, PMC’s main service center transferred to a new location to further improve customer satisfaction on repair and maintenance services for Apple products.

In terms of products, 2011 saw Power Mac Center adding top-of-the-line Apple bestsellers to their list of must-have gadgets. The new MacBook Pro with all-new quad processors, breakthrough high-speed thunderbolt technology, and game-changing graphics is to be considered a breakthrough product, while the iPad2 can probably be considered the most important gadget of last year with sales rocketing to the skies due to the public’s amazing demand.

The store chain also staged the country’s first ever-game apps tournament dubbed as Power Mac Center Arcadium App Arcade Tournament in March 2011, which was followed by its equally exciting sequel, Arcadium 2.0, in November.

Said Joey Alvarez, PMC Marketing Manager. “We are proud of the following Arcadium has gained. This event has surely inspired customers to learn more about Apple products and the different apps available at the Apple App Store. Arcadium is our way of thanking our customers who trust PMC in providing them with the latest Apple products and services.”

With a lot of things that happened in the past year, 2012 is still expected to be as busy if not a busier year with PMC up on its toes to welcome more innovative products from the Apple world.

As early as now, Apple enthusiasts are looking forward to a rumored new version of iPad. The Apple iPad 3 is believed to have a brand new quad-core processor, Apple’s A6, making for a fast and highly efficient tablet experience. Like its predecessor, iPad2 that ruled in 2011, iPad3 will likely be 2012’s most awaited device.

Apple HDTV is also expected to make waves with its speculated launch this year. What makes it a cut above the Smart TVs already in the market are unique features that may include the iPhone’s Siri, FaceTime and the latest iOS with iCloud data management system.

As innovations never stop in the world of Apple, customers reportedly await as well for possible new versions of MacBook Air and other Macs.

The store chain is also expected to carry more of the most ergonomic and creatively designed accessories such as speakers, earphones & headphones, iPad, iPhone & iPod cases, MacBook bags & sleeves in popular brands such as Belkin, Beats by Dr. Dre, Western Digital, Moshi, Milli, and Bose among others.

Said Alvarez, “2012 is sure to be another very busy year for Power Mac Center as there are a lot of strong prospects to look forward to. We are committed to serve our customers even better this year.”
