Set in the seventies An Expression of Two Eyes is not just a love story. It is about four months in the life of Geeta Chawla following her meeting with Anup Khanna. The brief incident takes her through all the many aspects of love and changes her whole outlook to human relationships. She falls in a dilemma, quite insurmountable for a typical middle class Indian housewife. Not at all like the idealistic love-fictions, this one proves to be a modernist venture to a modern woman heart, in the midst of a misty phase of her life.
