Pre-medical (often shortened to pre-med) is a term used to describe a track an undergraduate student pursues prior to becoming a medical student.

Typical pre-Med students structure their courses in their first year in college to accommodate the required courses. After one semester, leisure activities that show a commitment to medicine. When the junior year arrives, students register and take the MCAT, the standardized exams required, medical schools use to identify qualified candidates.
When testing is finished, students apply for the various schools with the automated system or using a non-AMCAS AMCAS application using the same school.
