PRECISION DANCE COMPANY HOLDS ANNUAL SHOWCASE APRIL 16TH

Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) March 7, 2011 -- Lomita, CA – March 3, 2011 – Long-time Southern California youth dance powerhouse, Precision Dance Company, holds its annual dance showcase, Vision and Inspiration; Expressing the Heart and Soul of Dance on Saturday, April 16th 1:30 & 6:30pm at El Camino College. The program will feature nearly thirty original works in lyrical, liturgical, jazz, jazz funk, hip-hop, Afro-Funk, contemporary dance and more, performed by dancers ages 7 to adult.

Works include “Motherless Child”, choreographed by Precision Dance Company’s Executive Director and sought-after dance instructor, choreographer and competition judge Felicia Vann, performed by the advanced competition team to John Legend’s soulful rendition of this classic spiritual. Works also include “Birdland”, set on the Senior Company to Quincy Jones by Assistant Director and screen, film, concert, and stage dance veteran Brittany Bryson-Armalin and “This Instant” and “Tightrope”, hip-hop and jazz funk pieces choreographed by new talents, Senior Company members Tiffany Arnold, Nava Dennis, and Jalondra Davis. Showing off all kinds of artists, ages, and styles, this show has something for everyone!

Precision Dance Company, which has taken first-place titles in competitions such as Showstoppers, Sea World Spectacular, Claremont Classic, Best of USA, Miss Drillteam USA, West Coast Champions, and many other dance competitions, is known for a high level of artistry and challenging technique. Approaching its 20 Year Anniversary in 2012, the Company lives the motto of “More Than Just a Dance Team” offering a family environment and a focus on individual development as well as internship, leadership, and community service opportunities.
