Premier Electrics complete major Hamleys job in time for Christmas

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 7, 2009 -- Bellaghy-based Premier Electrics worked to a demanding time schedule to deliver their part of the Hamleys Store in Glasgow’s Enoch Centre on time for its pre-Christmas opening. The extensive electrical project - which included an illuminated Belfast bus - took a 16 man team from Premier five weeks to complete. Hamleys’ latest store adds to their portfolio of high profile locations such as London, Dubai, Dublin and Amman.

According to Premier Electrics’ Company Manager, Tony Shivers, the Glasgow project’s challenges included interpreting the client’s complex design requirements as well as liaising with the shopping centre to enable the integration of the store’s various alarm and security systems:
“Overall it’s a fantastic finished product and a project that has delivered a considerable amount of professional pride. Our team have worked throughout Europe this year on a range of projects but for many of them Hamleys is a favourite. It’s not every day you get to work on a retail scheme that includes disco lights, a juke box, a revolving bear, safari jeeps and climbing trees.”

Premier Managing Director, Mark Scullion says the association of the Premier brand with Hamleys is a major coup for the local company:

“Hamleys is arguably the most recognisable global brand name for toys and their flagship store in London has established itself as a major tourist attraction in its own right. Hamleys’ Glasgow store manager, Samantha Connolly, commended the NI company:
