Preparing For A Winter Move

At TSM Moving we do prepare our staff and our trucks with extra equipment. On a typical day the trucks will be equipped with floor runners for the protection of your flooring, but during winter months we ensure that the trucks are always equipped with extra floor runners.
We monitor the weather and keep up with the most recent road conditions and closures so that we are not faced with the unexpected.

In cases, when the roads have been closed due to hazardous driving conditions we need to communicate that information to the customer and do our best to provide a solution. If the customer has the flexibility to reschedule their moving date, the move proceeds and all goes well.
In most cases, all involved are aware of the limiting factors on the stormy days that we experience and have found a great deal of patience.

Customers should try to have an alternate moving date while preparing for relocation during winter months because as we all know no one has control of the weather.
But wouldn’t it be nice if we did.

There are other conditions that customers should be aware of. For example: when the moving truck arrives the entrance door is usually left open so that the men can load the shipment quickly, this means that there is a loss of heat in the house and possible discomfort to the residents.
The crew will do their best to minimize the discomfort but please, be patience and understanding.
They are doing all they can to provide the best possible service.

In general, winter month moves require more preparation and therefore, additional time is required, as well as travelling allowance from the pick up location to the destination address.

Now that we have provided a bit of insight as to what you should expect, plan for your moving day and remember our crew is there to ease the stress!!!!!
