Noah Mosely never lived in a fine house. He was raised with a strap across his back in the fields of a Mississippi plantation. After his mother's death when he was only ten, Noah decided then and there he would one day know freedom. At age sixteen he finally succeeded in escaping but if not for the Indian tribe who took him in, he would've died that first winter in the Arkansas Mountains.
