The 2012 Lowe’s Pride Awards will be a celebration of multicultural diversity from an international perspective. Pride Awards honorees and guests will receive their passports to take a journey around the world on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at the Westin Charlotte, 601 S. College St.
“This year’s event will be phenomenal, because we have a global focus. We are honored to highlight three outstanding individuals in our community who literally are making the world a better place,” said Dee Dixon, president and CEO of Pride Communications. “Charlotte is a worldclass city, and we want the 2012 Pride Awards to reflect that. This is going to be a unique celebration of international Charlotte.”
The Lowe’s Pride Awards, one of Charlotte’s premier black tie galas, is held annually to celebrate achievement in the African-American community. A selection committee chose the following award winners:

Using his gifts and talents, he has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help people in Haiti
recover after the recent earthquake that devastated the country.

Award. He is an outstanding student who is extremely passionate about global issues.
