Prime Minister Harper Visits Peel Region As Conservative Brad Butt Widens Lead Over Bonnie Crombie

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 29, 2011 -- MISSISSAUGA Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper is visiting Peel Region again tonight at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton to support what the Mississauga News called his “high-powered” slate of local candidates including Mississauga—Streetsville’s Brad Butt who is likely to defeat incumbent Liberal Bonnie Crombie on May 2nd.

Thousands are expected to gather to hear the Prime Minister speak about his Here for Canada Plan to give Canadians the stable, responsible, national majority government they’ve been demanding. This visit comes after a variety of high-profile Conservatives like Immigration Minister Jason Kenney and Finance Minister Jim Flaherty to our riding to showcase the hard work our government has done for Mississauga.

Brad Butt, 43, is a life long resident of Mississauga who has dedicated 30 years of volunteer community service to his community. He was the Founding Chair of Safe City Mississauga, serves on the boards of the Mississauga Food Bank, Mississauga Sports Council and Peel Children’s Aid Foundation as well as a member of the Mississauga Committee of Adjustment. He was a founding member of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee and was named Young Citizen of the Year in 1986.

Brad also served as a television host and commentator on Rogers Television in Peel for more than fifteen years.

Brad is the President of the Greater Toronto Apartment Association a position he has held since 1999. Brad is married to Rhonda and has two daughters Sarah and Megan.
