Front-wheel drive will be standard on the Prius C, along with a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system.

Automatic Climate Control and a multi-information display also come standard on the Prius C. It also comes with a 60/40 split rear seat, an engine immobilizer, and 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Exterior features include a rear deck spoiler, auto-off projector-beam halogen headlamps, and LED tail lamps. Available options include fog lights, power moonroof, heated seats, and the Smart Key System.

Safety is not sacrificed on the Toyota Prius C. Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and enhanced vehicle stability control are all safety systems that are standard on the Prius C. 9 airbags are also standard, including front-, seat-mounted-, and side curtain airbags. Child safety locks, side-impact door beams, and an energy absorbing steering column also come standard on the Toyota Prius C.
