Private Schools Palm Beach and Black Friday? Students Extend Season's Greetings To Weary Shoppers

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 30, 2009 -- Every year the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, commonly known as “Black Friday,” sets the stage for the most prolific shopping day of the year. Crowded malls, throngs of raving discount hunters, and blowout sales are among the common themes of this insanely copious event.

However, this year’s “Black Friday” transpired with an interesting twist. Stores all around Palm Beach County, mainly those in Palm Beach Gardens, Royal Palm Beach, and Greenacres, were graced with the presence of students from private schools in Palm Beach.

The King’s Academy volunteered students to greet the bargain-hunting shoppers of this years “Black Friday” which occurred this past Friday on November 27th, 2009.

The friendly faces of The King’s Academy students greeted shoppers as they waited outside stores on Black Friday. Each shopper received a Christmas card and “Merry Christmas” wishes to begin this holiday season from the King’s Academy students.

So, the question is...why? Well, The King’s Academy students believe in the leadership characteristic of respectfully greeting others. A typical Black Friday day avails itself to impatient, weary shoppers who may enjoy a moment of cheer. Students found this to be a perfect opportunity to offer encouragement to others.
