This appointment coincides with the Sin City Blackjacks recent announcement that it is entering the Las Vegas market with its professional indoor football team and the American Indoor Football Association. Wendy Wood, MBA, Medical Consultant of the Sin City Blackjacks formed the Medical Advisory Board.

About Dr. Chad M. Hanson

Dr. Chad M. Hanson is a native of Amarillo, TX. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Hanson completed his postgraduate orthopaedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern, earning many accolades along the way. He completed his formal training with a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the prestigious Steadman Clinic and Steadman-Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado. There he trained directly under many of the world’s top experts in the field of orthopaedic sports medicine, providing care to many Olympic, professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes and their families.

Dr. Hanson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, skiing, soccer, golf, triathlons, and spending time with his wife and children.

The Sin City Blackjacks’ Medical Advisory Board is comprised of prominent medical experts with expertise in multiple fields applicable to athletes and sports medicine. In addition to Dr. Hanson, the Medical Advisory Board consists of the following members:
