San Francisco, CA, June 7, 2011 – Jens Daemgen, the creator of ProCamera, is here in San Francisco to join WWDC and to announce the release of the newest version of his world famous iPhone camera app: ProCamera 3.1.
Known as the prime iPhone camera app - praised by David Pogue, NY Times: "The High End crowd swears by it", ProCamera V3.1 adds unique features such as RapidFire mode, a feature similar to the burst shot features other apps are offering but without being limited to three or five shots. ProCamera’s RapidFire mode continuously captures photos in quick succession with up to 12 pictures per second (depending on chosen photo resolution and device/camera being used.)
One of the oldest issues of photography is the reaction time of the shutter, whether it is an analog camera or a High End Digital SLR. The manufactures of cameras added burst features to shoot several photos in order to capture at least one shot at just the right moment -- with that perfect position, expression or timing. Modern DSLR cameras offer a continuous mode, shooting photos in very quick succession by holding the shutter release button.
The developers behind ProCamera took this intuitive gesture and built it into their ProCamera app, offering users an easy way to capture continuous burst shots.
Also new in this update:
- QuickFlick album access: the user is only one flick away from his photos and videos, giving them a very fast and intuitive access to their most recent photo or video as well as all the other photos and videos stored on their iPhones.
- Bulk social network sharing: ProCamera now offers photo sharing to Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Users may select a photo, or choose from folders for bulk upload. Users can also select privacy options, add titles or comments – everything users need for advanced mobile photo sharing.
- The process of capturing, editing and sharing photos with friends gets accelerated and eased dramatically, and this is what mobile photography is all about.
“At WWDC, We got lots of positive feedback from the Apple engineers, people from the app review team, and Hipstamatic app makers on this newest version.” ProCamera’s creator – Jens Daemgen said, “The first day at WWDC was overwhelming already. A LOT of new things are coming in iOS5 which open up complete new possibilities for ProCamera.”
Just like an art, ProCamera is alive. This update is a sign of its life and it will keep growing. All its goal is to help you create art from the moments in your life.
