This will give the caller an idea if you are the right person to get in touch with and would mean an inbox with more useful messages.

Then state the possible reason for not being able to take their call which of course should be work related. Invite them to leave a message along with their name and their contact number. Give them a probable time when you can call them back. While putting in all this info in your voice mail greeting make sure that it is short, sweet and simple. No one would appreciate you wasting their time with a very long voice mail greeting as we all know that in business time is money.
