Promenade Temecula Recognized for Design and Development
International Council of Shopping Centers recognizes Southern California shopping center in national awards program.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 3, 2010 --
Just over twenty months ago, Promenade Temecula unveiled 126,000-square-feet of additional outdoor shopping and dining space. The expansion brought new brands to Temecula including Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Coldwater Creek, Apple, Papyrus, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, Yard House, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and many others.
The development and design of the expansion has landed Promenade Temecula a nomination for a 2010 United States Design & Development Award from the International Council of Shopping Centers. The awards are split into several divisions including projects over 500,000-square-feet of total retail space, projects under 500,000-square-feet of total retail space and mixed use retail projects. Promenade Temecula falls into the “projects over 500,000-square-feet of total retail space”. Awards will be given for outstanding achievement in design and development of retail properties and retail store design. The winners will be announced on December 2nd at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona.
General Manager at Promenade Temecula, Jeff Kurtz is honored by the nomination and says, “Promenade Temecula offers a unique shopping experience. The lifestyle addition was developed as part of the existing mall with the intent of creating a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor and vice versa. The renovation of the existing shopping center was crucial in allowing the exterior project to flow together with the interior. The new design gives the shopping center a timeless, elegant look.”
Should Promenade Temecula take the top award, several other companies will be recognized along with Promenade Temecula. Temecula Town Center Associates, LP and Forest City Enterprises, Inc., the owners and developers of the project will be recognized along with F + A Architects, the company responsible for the exterior expansion and GHA Shoppingscapes who managed the interior mall renovation.
The formal award announcement and a list of other nominees can be found by visiting www.ICSC.org. A complete directory and store-listing for Promenade Temecula is at www.PromenadeTemecula.com.
