FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 15, 2010 --KANSAS CITY, Kan. – (April 15, 2010) – Political Chips, a conservative organization in Kansas City, is hosting a "Tax Day Tea Party" at the Community America Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan., April 15, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Admission to the event is free. The keynote speaker for the event is Apostle Claver Kamau-Imani from Houston, Texas and founder of RagingElephants.org. Local radio stations 980 KMBZ and 710 KCMO are expected to be broadcasting live on-site. “980 Live” personality “Darla Jaye” is the emcee for the evening portion of the event beginning at 6 p.m.
“We are inviting all Patriots and fellow conservative grassroots groups to join us for this event,” said Alex Poulter, one of the co-founders of Political Chips. “Although this is a fantastic opportunity to send a unified message to Topeka, Jefferson City, and Washington DC on tax day, we are also prepared to show the world that the vast majority of the movement is very patriotic, civil, and holds all the men & women of uniform in the highest regard.”
Gates open at 3:00 pm to the general public. Live entertainment by the country band Outlaw Jim & The Whiskey Benders will begin at 3:30 in the concert area behind the Center Field wall. That area of the venue will also feature a “people’s pulpit” for those Patriots desiring to let their voices be heard.
Political candidates will be given an opportunity to address constituents from the main staging area beginning at 3:30 pm through 5:45 pm. The forum will be hosted by Fair Tax and will feature several key races in Kansas and Missouri.
In addition to the plethora of great speakers and live music, the event will focus heavily on an emotional tribute to all of the veterans of the U.S. armed services including all of the men & woman currently serving and fighting for our freedoms. The tribute will begin at approximately 7:05 pm with a request for all of the vets to make their way onto the field to be recognized.
Security is definitely a concern for the event organizers and several precautions are being taken to promote a safe environment for all of those in attendance. “We are well aware of the anti-tea party groups and web-sites calling on individuals to infiltrate the event for the purpose of disrupting the activities”, said Alex Poulter. “We expect our patriot crowd to be well-armed with video recording devices and our security force will not hesitate to eject anyone who is disruptive, confrontational, or simply there to cause conflict”. Political Chips has issued a “Code of Conduct” to its membership base as well as posting it on their web-site.
