PYITHU HLUTTAW CALL TO INCREASE BASIC WAGES!

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 22, 2012 -- SHOW SUPPORT TO THE PYITHU HLUTTAW CALL TO INCREASE BASIC WAGES!
On 2102 Feb 21, Thura U Shwe Mann, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, in his second
attempt, submitted a letter to U Khin Aung Myint, the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu
Hluttaw for the minimum increase to 100,000 Kyats for the lowest level within the
public sector.
FTUB supports the effort by the Pyithu Hluttaw to increase the basic salary and applauds
the speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw on his continued effort to present the needs of the
people expressed through the elected representatives.

FTUB reminds the public service workers that our needs are being championed by the
Pyithu Hluttaw and the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw.
We should not be spectators.
Our needs are being advocated. We must show support.
FTUB will initiate a signature campaign to send to U Hla Tun, the Union Minister of
Finance and Revenue. These will say that "We the workers support the Pyithu Hluttaw
call for the increase to 100,000 Kyats per month as minimum wage and the Minister is
responsible to find a solution".
FTUB advises the workers in the government factories and in the industrial zones that a

peaceful walk in support of the Pyithu Hluttaw call for increase in minimum wage within
the respective factories and industrial zones be done before the work starts.
FTUB calls upon the farmers and the agriculture workers to support the effort by the
Pyithu Hluttaw to increase wages. This kind of effort can be also being beneficial of the
farmers and the agriculture workers. Organized support of the Pyithu Hluttaw effort to
increase wages will show solidarity for all workers and farmers.
FTUB also calls upon the soldiers, policemen, firefighters to sign petitions to show

support for the call by the Pyithu Hluttaw for the increase in the basic wages.
