FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 9, 2009 --
Dub's first memories of music were mostly Elvis and Rock n Roll.
During the 70's he listened to mostly Pop and Disco, then as he got into his teens he moved to Hackney and was overwhelmed by Reggae,Soul and Ska, It made a big impression on him.
At 14 he went to his first 'sound system' clash, it was at his school dance, he was amazed at the size of the speakers used (which were all 'custom built') and the thunderous bass that shook the whole building, he left that dance and decided to start his own sound.

http://www.google.com/profiles/dubcupboard A few years on he ran his own dances with some friends and played at house parties and small clubs, dj-ing and spinning the latest vinyls, mostly for fun and enjoyment from the atmosphere he received from entertaining people.
He stopped dj-ing and went off to pursue other interests including starting a family, but continued listening to and collecting music along the way. A few years on he met-up with some old friends who were dj-ing and producing drum n bass and uk garage music, and hung out with them during his spare time helping them put their tracks together and 'mc-ing' for them on local radio stations.
He eventually got into 'production', and set-up his own studio. During this time he studied sound engineering at college and gained his city & guilds certificate. He then progressed to performing live on stage with his friends at college and played a two-song set in front off 500 people at one of the areas local theatres called the Ocean.
As a producer, he has had several of his recordings rotate London's 'urban' music scene, and gained positive feedback from listeners of local community radio stations. He then progressed to launching his first official album 'on-line' in 2005 and signed with cdbaby to distribute his material digitally across the internet, and has enjoyed reading a fair amount of positive reviews and feedback from listeners and downloaders.
His first album was dj-orientated (mix friendly) which he enjoyed producing, and having the added benefit of getting prime local radio 'air-time' improved his status as an up and
coming music producer. To date, he has progressed once more, and taken a closer step towards 'crossing-over' his material into the commercial domain, with his sites set high at launching one of his recordings into the official uk download charts by the time he completes his follow up to his first album, which is currently in the making.
The new album finds him experimenting with other styles, and genres, at the moment it's a mixture of electronica, rock, and post punk, with influential elements from artists past and present including: Ian Dury, The Sex Pistols, and The Prodigy. Dub left music for a while due to illness, but is now more than happy to be back, and over the moon with the response to his material he's receiving from people, in such a short space of time.
