Q1 2010 Passenger Forecast; Asia/Pacific Leads the Way
Asia/Pacific is setting the pace for the rest of the world; driven by China and supported by the majority of countries in the region, it is forecast to grow by over 8% in Q1.

Q1 2010 Passenger Forecast; Asia/Pacific Leads the Way
Q1 Forecast Holds Steady at a Positive 3.8% for 2010
Asia/Pacific is setting the pace for the rest of the world; driven by China and supported by the majority of countries in the region, it is forecast to grow by over 8% in Q1.
If the region is leading the way out of recession, then Europe and North America are lagging somewhat.
Europe at plus 3.0% outstrips the USA.
The USA will see its domestic travel rise by 1.8% next Quarter. The year on year increase will be 1.5%.
US Growth Hardly in Evidence
- the US is forecast to grow by just 1.6% next year which is better than the (1.1%) likely for the UK; it is broadly in line with Japan and a fifth of the Chinese rate.
Latest International Growth Airports in October
- October internationals are down (1.3%) based on a 204 airport sample which includes the bulk of the major players.
Latest US Airports in October
- October passenger numbers for the declaring US airports are down by (1.4%), reversing the direction of the previous month.
