Unusual but very attractive quirky holiday self catering holiday accomodation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 2, 2012 -- Quirky but sumptuous holiday in glorious English countryside

A collection of vintage train carriages have been painstakingly and beautifully renovated into self-catering holiday accommodation in the grounds of what was once Coalport Station within The World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire. Surrounded by it’s own grounds and overlooking the River Severn. The exteriors are traditional, but the interiors are anything but! Inside you’ll find real wooden floors and leather sofas, double beds and whirlpool baths. Air conditioning and flat screen entertainment systems. Up to ten guests can stay here, all in great comfort, a chance to holiday in your very own train carriage. The owners were involved for many years with interior design for the Aerospace and railway industries so their vision for first class quirky and unusual accommodation was clearly defined.

For those energetic enough a six mile stroll through beautiful countryside brings you too Much Wenlock home of the modern Olympic Games. In 1850 a local surgeon William Penny-Brookes (1809 - 1895), who introduced physical education into British schools, inspired the fore-runner of the modern Olympic Games for the "promotion of moral, physical and intellectual improvement" and although the Game's venue is now decided by international committee rather than by the Wenlock Olympian Society, they still hold their own Olympics every July. "The old woman's" race for a pound of tea may yet be re-introduced!
There are also 10 museums within the Ironbridge Gorge all less than a five mile radius of Coalport Station
