Legendary R&B/Dance singer and songwriter Joyce Sims has announced a short 2012 UK tour, starting with Birmingham on February 23 and ending in London on February 26. Sims is back with a four-city tour that supports her new EP on August Rose Records, which includes two future club classics, “Running Back to You” and “Back in Love.”
A number of renowned DJ/producers are helping out with the short collection -- UK production team The Soul Garden worked its magic on a “Back in Love” remix, while Hungarian DJ/producer Tom Noize created a funky “Running Back to You” club mix. Sims also had a chance to work with her good friend, legendary engineer/producer Elia Tubo on a “Running Back to You” mix. Tubo has produced tracks for Run-D.M.C., Eric B. & Rakim, and Angie Stone.
In addition to these new singles, Sims and her band plan to perform all her classic hits “All and All,” “Lifetime Love,” “Come Into My Life,” and a few surprises. Sims was last in the UK in spring 2011, and she is excited about returning to the UK. “Music fans in the UK are some of the best in the world and are very passionate about good music. It will be great seeing the fans’ reaction to the new singles.”

Sims has been creating hits for 25 years. In 1987, her debut album “Come Into My Life” charted top 10 Billboard R&B and was certified Gold in the UK. Singles “All and All” and “Come Into My Life” have become club anthems and are still being played on mainstream radio stations across the globe. All songs were written by Sims except for "Love Makes a Woman."
In 2006, Sims returned to the charts with the single “What The World Needs Now” from the CD “A New Beginning,” which allowed her to work with hit maker producers Junior Vasquez and Glen Friscia of “Friscia & Lamboy.” The single “What The World Needs Now” debuted at #19 and climbed into the top 10 on the Billboard Club Play Chart.
