CANDIDATE MARTINEZ HAS VEHICLES VANDALIZED

CHICAGO --- For the second time in as many weeks, 10th Ward Aldermanic Candidate Richard L. Martinez, Jr., has had one of his personal vehicles in front of his home damaged. Last week Mrs. Martinez's 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was "keyed" and this morning as Mr. Martinez opened the front door of his home, he saw debris of broken glass in front of his parked 2000 Dodge Durango. As he examined further, the whole front of his truck was smashed in, pushed back about four feet which pushed the rear end of his truck into the front bumper of his wife's Trailblazer.

The damage is significant and Candidate Martinez feels that this is not a coincidence, but instead a politically motivated attack to try and deter his surging Candidacy. Mr. Martinez has gained significant support for his campaign since announcing his candidacy for 10th Ward Alderman on August 22, 2010. Mr. Martinez has just completed walking all 48 Precincts in the 10th Ward and will be filing his nominating petitions signatures next week.

Mr. Martinez, a man of faith who also serves as a Minister at G2G Church on the East Side stated he "serves a God of justice and righteousness". "Political intimidation tactics and the promotion of fear in the 10th Ward Aldermanic Campaign should not and will not be accepted and tolerated." As we have walked the entire ward, many people in the ward have indicated that they are "afraid" to sign a political opponents nominating petitions or that they are fearful of the rise of crime in the 10th Ward. Fear does not come from God but is perpetuated by the enemy.

We are a people of FAITH and we will not and shall not be deterred, we will seek and pursue peace, justice and righteousness. We will persevere on this journey of faith and on the road to victory.
