Rachana Sansad sets creative stage for Gopi Kukde, (the Onida Devil creator), designer Saurabh Karandikar, designer and advertising pro Uday Parkar and calligrapher par excellence Achyut Palav

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 18, 2012 -- On the occasion of celebrating 52 glorious years Rachana Sansad’s Foundation Day, the College of Applied Art & Craft conducting an interesting half day session “MANTHAN” on Sunday, 15th January 2012 between 9.30 am and 1.00 pm at Veer Savarkar Smarak Sabhagriha, Cadle Road, Mumbai.

“MANTHAN” is scheduled to be a very interactive and knowledge based seminar for all creative minds. All colleges in and around Mumbai are invited for the seminar. The Seminar is open to all.

The inaugural session includes “Dvandva” – a war-of-words between the torch bearers of former and new age of advertising - Mr. Gopi Kukde, the Onida Devil creator and
Mr. Saurabh Karandikar, Designer. “Dvandva” as the name suggests, would be an eye opener about the changing scenario in advertising and design.

The Second session “Parikrama” is a retrospective journey of ideation to execution by international award winner designing and advertising man, Mr. Uday Parkar.

The concluding session “Laya Lekh” is an amazing fusion of calligraphy and performing arts by renowned calligrapher Mr. Achyut Palav. It would be a visual feast between beautiful handwriting, rock and ballet.

In totality, “MANTHAN” is the churning of creative minds to bring out the best of thoughts and expressions. It is a confluence of creative super-powers.

As a part of it Foundation Day Programme, Rachana Sansad will celebrate with students and public hosting educative talks, chat sessions with renowned architects and artistes from the industry and creative fields, and also host inter-collegiate art competition with tempting cash awards and trophies.

On the occasion of announcing the Foundation Day programme, Co –Founder and Managing Trustee of Rachana Sansad, Prof. Ar. Sumant Wandhrekar said, “The institute, through this programme plans to give students the opportunity to interact with professionals and learn from them so that they in turn may excel in their careers.”
