Racing legends help raise over £700 for Gloucestershire Charity

The Times newspaper’s Racing Correspondent, Alan Lee hosted the evening with guest being treated to canapés and dinner whilst listening to racing stories from legendary trainer Kim Bailey and jockey Jason Maguire, who spoke about his time working with Ginger and Donald McCain and his big win on Ballabriggs at The Grand National this year.
Famous jockeys and trainers from the local area joined guests at the iconic Cheltenham venue for an evening of top sporting entertainment in aid of the worthy, local cause.
Businesses from throughout the region generously donated items for the raffle at the event with prizes including a pro golf lesson at Lilleybrook Golf Course with Simon Harrison, tickets to watch a match at Cheltenham FC and luxury spa treatments at Hotel Du Vin. A heads-and-tails auction raised a successful amount to win a gorgeous gift hamper generously donated by La De Da and the auction raised £250 from the sale of a painting donated by Shezan restaurant.
