Radflek is the latest REVOLUTIONARY RADIATOR REFLECTOR to be launched onto the domestic market.

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 30, 2010 -- Hot onto the market for 2010, and CERT rated by Ofgem, Radflek is the REVOLUTIONARY RADIATOR REFLECTOR for the domestic market, which will save energy, cut heating bills and reduce carbon emissions. Radflek's unique installation method and materials technology make it up to 23% more efficient than the current leading market product.

Radflek is a laminated aluminium foil with a unique long lasting coating that prevents oxidation of the foil with minimal effect on its high reflectivity. Its innovative design and ease of installation make it more user friendly than all other radiator reflectors available on the market. It does not need a professional or any DIY knowledge to fit, taking just minutes to install with simple step by step instructions – anyone can do it!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Radiators send out heat in all directions. When positioned against a wall, as much as 40% of the heat released by a radiator will be wasted in heating up the wall in addition to the room. A Radflek panel placed between the radiator and the wall greatly reduces this waste by reflecting at least 95% of the heat emitted from the rear of the radiator back into the room. This means less energy is needed to heat the room to the required temperature.

Radflek’s simple installation method of being hung on the radiator brackets between the radiator and the wall without touching either eliminates conductive heat transfer. Other radiator reflectors are permanently mounted on the wall behind the radiator, which enables conductive heat transfer through the reflector into the wall so reducing the effectiveness of the product. Permanent wall fixing also makes a reflector difficult to keep dust-free, which is essential to maintain high reflectivity; Radflek can be easily removed, dusted and replaced to maintain optimum reflectivity.

WHAT ARE THE SAVINGS?

Rigorous tests by the British Board of Agrément show that Radflek reduces heat transfer through walls by 45%. And, the Building Research Establishment, the leading research institution in building technology, reported that Radflek is 23% more efficient at saving energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions than the leading competitor. The BRE estimates that one sheet of Radflek will save 8.9kg CO2 per year compared to 7.2kg CO2 per year equivalent saving by the leading competitor. Based on current energy prices this equates to a saving of up to £40 per year from a 20 radiator pack of Radflek and a payback of the purchase cost in a year.

Radflek has been approved as a CERT product with the following ratings:-
• Radflek will save up to 94.9 kWh of energy /m2 per annum.
• Radflek will save 12.33 kg CO2/m2 per annum.
• Radflek has been awarded a life time rating of 15 years.
RETAIL
Radflek will be available for sale initially via its own website and additional retail outlets are being confirmed. The products will be sold in three pack sizes, containing enough sheets of Radflek for 6, 10 or 20 radiators.
