Fuel powered models – these uses grow plugs engines, small internal combustion engines that are fueled by a special mixture of methanol, nitro methane and oil. The oil is a mixture of castor and synthetic oils. The radio control cars that run on this type of power are called the nitro cars.
There have been new car inventions in the recent past which are powered using gasoline engines. Electric cars are easier to use and work with compared to those that are fun using fuel. They are also very complex in terms of the level of skills.
For both the electric and fuel run machines, there are both on road and off road vehicles. Off road vehicles are built with functional off road suspensions and with a wide tire selection. They can be driven in any type of terrain. For the on road models, it uses a smaller suspension that can only be driven along smooth and surfaces that are paved.
There are companies that are known to specialize in this type of radio control car. An example is the HPI racing. They specialize in a type called the kit-type car or truck which comes assembled on in kit form. This means that one can build it for themselves by following instructions. These cost more but they are more durable and faster than toy R/C cars. If one of these cars would become faulty, the cost of repair is a fraction of what it would cost to take it back to the manufacturer. Some people have been able to convert radio control car to make them faster, stronger and more durable. They also become more adjustable and they look better.
All HPI R/C cars and trucks come with optional bodies that one can replace when they need to. This means that one can have a street car and then convert it into a truck. There are many replaceable types that one can change to. These include sports cars, racing coupe, sedan and any other car they admire.
There are many types of radio control car that HPI racing have. The most common are trucks kits which can go anywhere like taking jumps, dips and bumps. They have large rubber tires and long shock absorbers and this makes it easy for them to run on grass, street, dirt and any other type of surface. These are fitted with the Nitro engines and they use real fuel, they are noisy and give out real exhaust smoke.
